JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS - BEST CHILDREN'S FOOTWEAR COLLECTION

2022 was a great year for ZIG+STAR, but one of our highlights was winning the Junior Magazine Junior Design Award for "Best Children's Footwear Collection"... and not only that, we won Platinum! 

As a small start up brand it was a huge honour for us. We have long followed the JDAs... when I was thinking about starting my kids' footwear brand I would look at other successful brands being recognised by Junior Magazine and dream that perhaps one day we might be able to achieve the same. However, a Platinum Award was more than we could have hoped for, as it's usually awarded to far more established brands, rather than a new business like us which has been running for under 2 years. This was on account of us scoring resoundingly top marks from all the judges which was, of course, lovely feedback.

The feedback was they loved that how our Podiatrist Approved kids' footwear delivered on both style and substance; how our "Good-To-Grow" design resulted in adjustable, expandable shoes that lasted longer, both reducing consumption and saving money; how our unisex design didn't stereotype by gender.
